Festivals : "Carnival", which is celebrated in February and lasts for a month. The festivity reaches its peak in the procession of splendid floats representing a theme that varies from year to year, which gives the center of the city a colourful and special look. Two other outstanding celebrations have to do with our country products: sausage "chacinado" and peach -fruit reaped in Mercedes' fields. During December, private exhibitions are organized. "La Movida Mercedina" is one of it, in which musicians, artists, craftsmen, actors and clowns among other artistic styles display their artistic production along the main street of the city.

" Centro Polivalente de Arte" a school that offers drama, literature, dance, painting and other
courses. This school is articulated with the levels of the general education and open . There also exist private initiatives and work groups in diverse branches.

Lujan River park : This park is divided up by Lujan River, edged by long rows of big and bushy trees. It is a good option for those who love going on a camping.

"Pulperia" :Visiting the "Pulperia" is a way of travelling through time to the past. Still keeping their original buildings. Within Mercedes a city called Tomαs Jofrι is visited by 1.000 people each and every weekend where they are guested with delicious traditional homemade dishes at any of the restaurants. A Farm House offering farm activities runs there as well. You can also ride horses which can be hired per hour. Some antiques are sold there along the grounded streets in this small and cosy city.
